Ans:-The little boy used to come everyday to school to start the fire and warm the room .

A Letter to God 








1. What did Lencho hope for?( लेंचो को क्या उम्मीद थी? )

ANS. Lencho hoped for a shower (good rain) for his crops.( लेंचो को अपनी फसलों के लिए बारिश की उम्मीद थी।)

2. Why did Lencho say that the raindrops were like 'new coins'? (लेंचो ने ऐसा क्यों कहा कि बारिश की बूंदें 'नए सिक्के' की तरह होती हैं?)

Lencho compares the raindrops were like new coins because the raindrops help him to grow and harvest the crops, which results in more prosperity. Hence, he compares raindrops to new coins.(लेंचो ने बारिश की बूंदों की तुलना नए सिक्कों की तरह की क्योंकि बारिश की बूंदें उसे फसल उगाने और काटने में मदद करती हैं, जिसके परिणामस्वरूप अधिक समृद्धि होती है। इसलिए, वह बारिश की बूंदों की तुलना नए सिक्कों से करता है।)

The rain changed into hailstones as a strong wind began to blow and huge hailstones began to fall along with the rain. All the crops in Lencho's field got destroyed because of the weather conditions (तेज हवा चलने के साथ ही बारिश ओलावृष्टि में बदल गई और बारिश के साथ-साथ बड़े-बड़े ओले भी गिरने लगे। लेंचो के खेत की सभी फसलें मौसम की स्थिति के कारण नष्ट हो गईं)

Lencho felt completely broken . The hail had left nothing . He felt that they would have no corn or seed that year . He saw death before him and his family.(लेंचो पूरी तरह टूटा हुआ महसूस कर रहा था। ओलों ने कुछ नहीं छोड़ा था। उन्होंने महसूस किया कि उस वर्ष उनके पास कोई मक्का या बीज नहीं होगा। उसने अपने और अपने परिवार के सामने मौत देखी।)

Lancho had full and complete faith in God. He felt that God’s eye saw everything . So He wrote a letter to God .(लैंचो को ईश्वर में पूर्ण और पूर्ण विश्वास था। उसे लगा कि भगवान की आंख ने सब कुछ देख लिया है। इसलिए उसने भगवान को एक पत्र लिखा।)

The postmaster gatherd some money from his employees and he himself also gave part of his salary and sended it to Lencho. Postmaster tried to help Lencho by collecting some amount of pesos for Lencho. Lencho was not at all surprised on seeing the letter because this is what he was expecting.(लैंचो को पत्र देखकर जरा भी आश्चर्य नहीं हुआ क्योंकि वह यही उम्मीद कर रहा था।)

Lancho was displeased when found that the money was less than what he had asked .(लैंचो यह देखकर नाराज हो गया कि उसने जितना पैसा मांगा था, उससे कम है।)

Answer: Lencho had complete faith in God. He decides that he wants to keep Lencho's faith intact, so he decides to answer the letter. Ans. Lencho thought that the post office employees had taken the rest of the money. The irony of the situation was that the employees whom he called a “bunch of crooks” and suspected of taking some of the money sent by god, were the same people who had contributed and sent him the money.( लेंचो ने सोचा कि डाकघर के कर्मचारियों ने बाकी पैसे ले लिए हैं। स्थिति की विडंबना यह थी कि जिन कर्मचारियों को उन्होंने "बदमाशों का झुंड" कहा और भगवान द्वारा भेजे गए पैसे में से कुछ लेने का संदेह था, वही लोग थे जिन्होंने योगदान दिया था और उन्हें पैसे भेजे थे।)
