Ans :- There was a lot of difference between the way in which the adults and the children reacted when they faced danger . The adults losts hope and waited for their end with a heavy heart . The children offered moral support to the adults.

The story displays courage and optimisim shown by everyone in difficult times . Suveirval happens only because of the optimistic struggle that the family carries on with the inclination to look at the brighter side of the situation .

Ans ;- Such experience teach us about the potential that courage , perseverance and tolerance.

Ans :- Answer: The three phases of the author’s relationship with his grandmother before he left the country to study abroad are:

Childhood – when he went to the village school and the grandmother helped him to get ready and went to school with him.

Boyhood  when he went to the city school in a bus. He shared a room with grandmother but she could no longer help him in his studies.

Early  youth – when he went to the university and was given a room of him own. The common link of friendship was snapped.

 

Q 2 . Three reasons why the author’s grandmother was disturbed -when he started going to the city school ?

Ans :- Answer: The three reasons why the author’s grandmother was disturbed when he started going to the city school are:

1.     She hated western Science and learning.

2.     There was no teaching of God and the Scriptures.

3.     She was unhappy with the idea of music lesions as she considered music suitable only for people with low dignity .
