Q1 :- Why did Aurangzab ban the playing of Pungi ?

Ans :- He banned the playing Pungi because it had a shrill unpleasant voice .

Ans :- Shehnai is a hollow pipe that is longer and it has seven holes. Whereas Pungi is ball shaped in between with shrill sound .

Q3 :- Where was the shehnai played traditionally ? how did Bismillah Khan change this ?

Ans :- Traditionally ,shehnai was played at the royal court , in the temples of wedding .

       Bismillah Khan invested new ragas with the shehnai and thus brought it on the stage with other instruments .

Ans :- Mechanical teachers – These are the special TV screen where all subject teach him.

Schoolroom – Schoolroom were the rooms next to the bedroom with the mechanical teachers on and waiting for the child .

Q2:- Why did Margie hate school ? Why did she think the old kind of school must have been fun ?

Ans :- She hated school because his teacher had been giving her Geography test after test above her level and she had been doing very badly. She think old school must have been fun because the old school students done the all activity together .

          The Road Not Taken (अलग रास्ता )

I. Answer these questions in a few words or a couple of sentences each.

Q1 :- Where does the traveler find himself ?What problem does he face ?

Ans :- The traveler find himself on a fork path . he is in a problem as he must choose one path and he is unable to decide which one to choose .

Q2 :- Discuss what these pharses mean to you ?

(1)       A yellow wood . 

       Ans :- It refers to forest which has withering leaves as in the season of autumn. .

(2)       It was a grassy and wanted wear .

       Ans :- It means that the path had a lot of grass on it . This means that it had not been walked over by many people .

(3)       The passing there .

     Ans :- It means that when he walked on the path that he had chosen .

(4)       Leaves no step had trodden black .

      Ans :- It means that no one walked over the leaves as they were still green .

(5)       How way leads on to way ?

      Ans :- It means that as we walk on path , we come across more options and make choices further . We keep on walking ahead on that way .

Q3 :- Is there any difference between the two roads as the poet describes them –

(1)     In stanzas two and three ?

Ans :- The two paths were similar . In the beginning the poet felt that one of them was grassy and had not been walked on it for some distance , he realized that it was like the other road .

 

(2)     In the last two lines of the poem ?

Ans :- Here again , the poet talk of his initial descisions when he thought that the road were different and chose the one that had been walked over by lesser number of people .

Q4 :- What do you think the last two lines of the poem mean ? (Looking back , does the poet regret his choice or accept it ?

Ans :- The last two lines of the poem means the acceptance of reality and no he had not regret his choice .
