Q1 :- List the steps taken by the captian ;

1)   To protect the ship when rough weather began ?

Ans :- he order to decided to ship slow down . Then they double –fastened everything and went through their life raft drill.They also attached lifelines and wore life jackets.

2 ) to check the flooding of water in the ship ?

Ans :- He took a canvas and stretched it across the holes and made a waterproof hatch cover across the gaping holes .he used to pump , connected it to an outpipe and started it .

Q2 :- Describe the mental condition of the voyagers on 4 th and 5 th January ?

Ans :- on 4^th and 5^th January ,the voyagers felt relieved as after the continuous pumping for 36 hours the water had nearly been drained out .The faced a dangerous situation on January 5^th as the sea got worse during the night . They were under a great stress .

Q1 :- What difference did you notice between the reaction of the adults and the children when faced with danger ?

Ans :- There was a lot of difference between the way in which the adults and the children reacted when they faced danger . The adults losts hope and waited for their end with a heavy heart . The children offered moral support to the adults.

Q2 :- How does the story suggest that optimism helps to endure “ the direst stress” ?

The story displays courage and optimisim shown by everyone in difficult times . Suveirval happens only because of the optimistic struggle that the family carries on with the inclination to look at the brighter side of the situation .

 

Q3 :- What lessons do we learn from such hazarods experiences when we are face to face with death ?

Ans ;- Such experience teach us about the potential that courage , perseverance and tolerance.

 

Q4 :- Why do you think people undertake such adventurous expeditions in spite of the risks involved ?

Ans :- The people think undertake sach adventurous expeditions in spite of risk because the sprit to experience unique elements of nature ,undaunted passion and willingness to accept challenges drive people to take up adventurous expeditions.
